“Outdoor Cali Autoflower Project”

This is a fun little side project for me: trying to build and select an autoflower line that does good in the outdoors. It is not an easy task because autoflowers are the diva’s of the cannabis world. They start nagging when conditions are not completely to their likings.

They let you know by making ugly & lose buds. They often do this when the temperature of the soil is not high enough; When the soil is not aerated or fluffy enough; When it rains too much or is too cold in their early life. And the list goes on…

Take those exact same seeds indoors in warm cozy conditions and they will make spectacular looking buds. It’s a big frustration for growers whose heart is in the outdoor gardens.

I merely did three steps in this project, but with male autoflowers being so rare I thought why not share my work in progress? People who are interested in making some seeds themselves might like the opportunity to grow out nice autoflower males.
I don’t think there will be huge interest, but I hope to make a few selected people happy with this offering.

It is important to emphasize this again: It is work in progress!

That means that the goal of “outdoor auto” is NOT yet reached. With big enough selection, however, I am quite confident that you and I will be able to reach it. It also means that there will be a lot of variance in this seedlot. Which is a wonderful thing for some people but a bit strange to most.

The Cali in the name is a reference to the genetics involved. It’s a real orgy of all different things, but most of them have that Cali connection.

On the first picture you’ll see the plant that made me believe in the possibility of an auto that can make nice buds in the sub optimal outdoor spring time with its cold soils. Her genetics is a cornerstone of this project.
