Frosty’s Purple Freak x Guavalato Auto

Extremely pungent, autoflowering, and with an insane freaky look, Frosty’s Auto Freak is the ultimate guerrilla grower’s strain!
This stealthy auto mutant resulted from crossing the infamous Frosty’s Purple Freak with Guavalato Auto. The goal was to push Frosty’s Purple Freak to the next level by making it autoflowering, even stealthier, while keeping the stunning purple colors and maximizing terpene intensity.

Combining all these recessive traits while refining taste and effects was a serious challenge. By selecting an outstanding phenotype from one of James Loud’s terpiest auto cultivars (Guavalato Auto), the Khalifa team achieved exactly that. After several generations of selective breeding, Frosty’s Auto Freak is now consistently freaky, autoflowering, and purple.

The sweet berry notes of Frosty’s Purple Freak are not only still present, but enhanced by the fruity/rotten-meat aromas of the Guavalato Auto parent.

A Vigorous Mutant

Mutant strains almost always grow slower in the first weeks of veg, but generation-by-generation vigor selection changed that here. As a result, this Auto Freak is almost as vigorous as its non-mutant Guavalato Auto parent. Once seedlings hit 2–3 weeks, growth accelerates dramatically. As with all autos, the vegetative phase is short and plants begin flowering after only 5–6 weeks.
Despite the quick pace, this cultivar is a very low feeder. Therefore, most light soil mixes contain enough nutrition to reach harvest without added fertilizer. Another reason it performs so well outdoors with minimal intervention.

Aromas and Effects

The bouquet is rich with berry, sweets, sour, and that unmistakable rotten-meat funk. These terpenes are heat-resistant, so the dried flowers keep their enticing perfume. Most phenos are exceptionally pungent, while a small subset leans sweeter and gelato-like.
Indoors, a carbon filter is a must. Outdoors, many plants adapt to humidity by developing looser flowers; indoors, Frosty’s Auto Freak often produces surprisingly dense buds for an auto. In any setting, expect heavy trichome coverage with big, flavorful resin glands. The smoke delivers a fruity/candy profile with a lingering kushy/earthy finish. Like its photoperiod parent, effects hit with an uplifting onset, then settle into a potent, long-lasting physical relaxation that can help induce sleep.

Rare Old-World Terpene Profile

Frosty’s Auto Freak expresses an exceptionally rare terpene chemotype seldom found in modern cannabis. Laboratory analysis reveals unusually high levels of β-Cedrene and Guaiol. These woody sesquiterpenes are typically present only in trace amounts in commercial strains. It is also combined with a complex spectrum of resinous, fruity, and incense-like aromatic compounds. This distinctive profile places FAF among the rarest terpene expressions in contemporary genetics.
